Katherine Heigl has opened up about how she was raised in an environment that was a "white bubble" and how that realization has affected how she parents her adopted multiracial children. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in an interview recently that -- when it came to the color of her skin, it didn't matter to her how she looked like, but after she spoke about her sister's age, who was adopted by South Korea, she realized how differently society viewed the two of both. "I inquired of Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with our parents and those who went out alone. She said: 'Oh yes, I've seen the whole thing and I've been there all the time! Heigl revealed to Parents that this made her realize how naive she had been. According to the actress, she grew furious. She wanted to channel her anger into helping her adopted girls. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr., 4, have been married for 13 years. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old who is Black, in 2012.
